In political maelstrom, Neil Cavuto's clarity, calmness and gentle humor often provide relief from all the talking heads yelling at one another, which is why what he closed his program with yesterday was so disappointing.
Cavuto said it was no big deal that Blumenthal has lied about serving in Vietnam. There are far more important things to be concerned about, Cavuto said, and there are lots worse things you can do than slip up that wee little bit 4 or 5 times about having actually served in Vietnam. I disagree. Blumenthal is one of those phony soldiers who claims being able to wear medals he never earned. If you lie about the trivial things, what else will you lie about? It strikes at the core of honor.
This item needs to be clarified with Cavuto.
