In addition to eliminating the income tax credit for those working outside of the city, Mr. Bell's plan includes cutting approximately $10 million in spending, enacting an 8 percent sports and event tax, and a $15 refuse fee with the establishment of a solid waste enterprise fund to which the revenue would be dedicated.

Mayor Bell proposes add'l tax on sporting events
How does this make sense? Don't you WANT people to come to Toledo for sporting events? Does he seriously want to price these events out of the family budget? In addition, he's driving people OUT of the city of Toledo by eliminating the income tax credit for people who work outside the city. How is this going to help Toledo, in the long run? Hope for Mayor Bell fades, as he follows in the footsteps of the dying cities run by liberals who are squeezing every ounce of life and spark of freedom out of its city limits.
