Once again, we have nannies who lecture us on all the changes in lifestyle required to make sure the world doesn't end with tornados and tsunamis, but who fly EVERYWHERE at taxpayer expense to tell everyone not to do what they do. These people often lead lifestyles of unimaginable luxury, often at taxpayer expense again. Much of their so-called science has been exposed as fraudulent and specious. At the forefront is Pachauri, who has a driver and car to drive him to work daily, which is one mile away. Would you buy a used car from this man? So why trust him to impose a global tax on all of us? We're rich, after all, and deserve to pay.
On his international missions, Rajendra Pachauri, the chairman of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), called for radical action to stave off environmental disaster.
He urged people to eat less meat, pay aviation taxes and even ban giving iced water in restaurants. But in order to get his message across, the former railway engineer, who lives in Delhi, created an enormous carbon footprint of his own.
