Blade article

The Blade estimates 1,000 people attended the Perrysburg tea party. TAXED ENOUGH ALREADY. Read it here: Link only.

  1. The Blade article I thought was condescending, contrived, cute but in character with The Blade. I was more disturbed by that evenings WTOL TV news cast. As I was leaving I noticed a couple of TV camera crews and one attendee being interviewed - I wondered how the media would portray the event. That evening WTOL TV ran a short segment on the Tea Party and at the end the anchor noted that some showed up to "protest" (I think that was the word he used) but what he said after that I do remember because it has bothered me for the past few days - he said "... and that is as it should be."
"Protest"...."that is as it should be"....the Tea Party wasn't a political rally, it wasn't about "R"s or "D"s or "L"s, it was about the Declaration of Independence, liberty, freedom, an overreaching government. If you were there to protest our independence, or our liberties (what's left of them)or our freedoms then you must be opposed to the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. How can one protest the very basic foundations of America and still be considered an American? In my opinion they are at best ignoramuses and at worst traitors and my suggestion is to go live in one of those countries you'd like the US to emulate. I'm sure they'd love to have you. But leave the US to those who believe in freedom and individualism and who respect and admire the founding fathers and their courage and devotion to the tireless effort it took to bring us OUR Csnstitution.
