Obama: mean-spirited little twerp proves himself once again

  Governor Bill Richardson said on Neil Cavuto's show tonight that Obama no longer speaks to him because Richardson endorsed Hillary Clinton during the last primary. 
  It was interesting that Obama could be so mean-spirited to one of his own party. I suppose if he needed Bill Richardson's endorsement for something now, Obama would expect Mr. Richardson to step and fetch it.
  This reinforces the NYT article which discusses the "competitiveness" of Barack Hussein Obama, whose nature is to boast,  with or without talent. In fact, I was told by someone who'd witnessed Obama's basketball playing and said it was really not too great.
  On Glenn Beck today, the guys were discussing all the things that indicate that Obama's boasts are really not, um, accurate.

• He mispronounces "Cominsky" Park.
• He refers to "Wrigleys Field."
• He refers to the "Miami Heats."
• When asked specifically what Chicago players he likes, he couldn't name one.
• He throws a baseball like a girl.
• His basketball playing has to be edited to make it look like he can actually shoot.

  The NY Times article emphasizes that people around him don't think he's as good as he says. He thinks he's better than anyone else, even claiming he knows more about Judaism than any other president, that he's better at writing speeches than the best speechwriters and that he knows more about policy than all the people who work under him.
  I gotta go. The House females are dancing to some 60s women empowerment song. Gosh. That's ugly. It feels like a theme for a really bad 60s sitcom.

Dingy Harry goes after Tea Party

  Gosh. Harry Reid is like the anti-Clint Eastwood. His face is pinched. He looks like an undertaker.
  The Tea Party, unlike Harry Reid himself, is extremist, Harry explains. They shouldn't be allowed to take over both the House and the Senate. I mean, where would Harry be then?
  Mitt Romney is not "transparent" because he won't do what Harry wants. Mitt's only looking out for himself. If he'd release the rest of his tax records, we could attack him for that too. As it is now, we can "only imagine" what we hate about him.
  Who is Mitt Romney, Harry asks. 
  Barack Obama is the leader who doesn't search for the easy path for himself but takes the right one for us. I guess he's referring to easy paths like golfing, attending fundraisers 
  Harry doesn't want to work with a "Tea Party ideologue."

  He raises his thin and "reidy" voice at the end about putting "Barack Obama in the White House'" and then raises his two hands in some sort of cheesy clench.
  Wow.
  The anti-cowboy, anti-athlete, anti-youth, anti-Clint Eastwood Harry Reid.

  And THEN Nancy Pelosi and the Democrat women of the House. Has Nancy had more work done?
  it didn't work. Can you say UGLY? Yowza. Seeing them altogether is enough to scare me off the couch.

"God" and "Jerusalem" deleted: Dickie Durbin freaks when questioned

  Wow. In an interview with Bret Baier, Dick Durbin is REALLY pissed, touchy and defensive about the Dems' deleting the words "God" and "Jerusalem" from the Democrat party platform.
  One has to wonder why. 
  Bret Baier simply asks him why those words were not only not included, but actually deleted, whereupon Durbin freaked, accusing Baier's "channel" of trying to prove that the Democrat party is "godless."
  The Republicans are out to make themselves look religious and the Left not.
  Where's my empty chair.
 UPDATE: Krauthammer says he was surprised how defensive he was and then on the attack. 
  Why is Jerusalem not stated as the capital of Israel? This is an ominous sign for Israel.
  Krauthammer suggests the Democrat party is prepared to see a barbed wire go through Jerusalem, separating it as it was years ago. For Durbin to pretend that this is not an important issue is suspicious. Why the change?
  Platforms aren't that important but why the "glaring changes"? Israel is one place where Obama's led from up front and not behind.
  UPDATE 2: "Faith" is included (you mean like Muslim prayers were?) but "God-given talents" was changed to "your talents." Atheists say it is a "step forward," they are "happy" about and a "pleasant surprise."
  They added to their platform compliments for the unions who have "built America."
  They want an increase in the minimum wage to $10 an hour (apparently they're not afraid of fewer entry level jobs), guaranteed incomes and a prevention of teacher layoffs.
  No mention that we're broke and shipping truckloads of cash over to Greece. No lie.
  Other items the platform supports are abortion rights, gay marriage and higher taxes. They want to legalize illegals and provide more entitlement programs, overturn Citizens United and forbid requiring voter ID so they can cheat their way into winning. Support cap and trade (groan). Ban assault weapons.
  UPDATE 3: Dems are proud of government since government "is something we all belong to. 
  Um, no.
  Government belongs to US. They're OUR employees.
  This is outright defiance of our founding documents, including the Declaration of Independence.

Wasserman Schulz gets makeover

  Debbie Wasserman Schultz, head of the DNC and Allen West's favorite opponent, is not the nicest looking person in the world. 
  Well, ok, in fact, she's a dog. I mean, seriously. In addition to that sad fact, she's not a nice person who lies and weaves across the stage while speaking spin and hackery to the world.
  So she gets up on the stage to start the DNC convention, crowing about how "open and accessible' and "diverse", "most vibrant, inclusive and energized" this party is.
  Ok, well, we know that's all a spiel to get The One re-elected so he can reinfect the economy with Oneness, aka Disaster.

DNC May Not Use Bank of America Stadium

Hope and change of venue! At least that seem to be the story coming out of Charlotte. Sources at the Democratic convention, worried that Obama will face a half empty Bank of America Panther Stadium say his acceptance speech will be delivered in the 20,000 seat Time Warner Arena. Supposedly the campaign will cite weather concerns as the cause of the move. In truth they don't stand a chance in hell of finding 74,000 adoring Obamabots needed to fill B of A Stadium even after giving away free tickets in bars and planning to bus in out of state church groups.
Meanwhile the platform committee has given up on about everything positive the party once stood for. The party platform committee deleted "under God" from the proposed draft, endorsed taxpayer funded abortion, and crawfished back on its support of Israel and once again called for the closing of Guantanamo Bay.

The Utica Boom Beckons

As we have maintained for the past year, the Utica Shale is going to be a jobs machine. This week, Youngstown is hosting the Youngstown Ohio Utica and Natural Gas Conference, the purpose being to put local businesses in touch with the industry leading companies. As the video states the demand for skilled labor is intensifying and local community colleges are stepping up to the challenge. These kids won't be worried about paying off their student loans 10 years from now.
On a personal note, I rode the Interstate Highway boom for years and still look back on that time as the best years of my adult life. This is a great time to be young and single in eastern Ohio and I hope the youngsters know it.

The Newest Map From Karl Rove

The only other change was Connecticut from lean Obama to safe Obama, an opinion I don't share. Readers will notice that Colorado and Iowa have drifted closer to Romney which explains why Obama is always out west.

California Democrat Compares Paul Ryan to Nazi Goebbels

There is a concerted effort on the part of Democrats to paint Paul Ryan as a compulsive liar. There is a compelling case that Joe Biden is just that but the Republicans don't often engage in this type of personal attack. The effort began immediately after his convention speech when the MSNBC team questioned Ryan's factual account of the closing of the GM plant in his hometown of Janesville, Wisconsin. Expect to hear the liar charge repeated consistently. It is just plain slander but this is the sort of behavior we've come to expect from the party headed by Barack Obama. In the video below John Burton, Chairman of the California delegation to the Charlotte convention (the delegation whose members get falling down drunk and pick fights hotel staff) compares Paul Ryan to German propagandist Joseph Goebbels, the same comparison he made to Meg Whitman during the California gubernatorial race two years ago.

Romney Up By 4 In North Carolina

No, North Carolina is not all tied up as the latest PPP poll suggests. There is some justification for weighting a poll in favor of one party. If a state is 40% Democrat and 20% Republican the election is apt to reflect that difference but not necessarily. A good example would be Louisiana with 1.2 million Democrats and 879,000 Republicans that gave McCain 58% of its vote. As you will remember Obama carried North Carolina by only 14,000 votes. The latest PPP sample is 47% Democrat, 34% Republican, and 19% independent/other. The poll shows a 48-48 tie. This is just deliberately bad polling; garbage in garbage out. A poll by Elon University and the Charlotte Observer gives Romney a 4 point lead and I will go with that number.

Paul Ryan-New Black Panther coverage reveals MSM mindset

  Politics has always been a dirty game but the current media, in its attempts to win this election for The Prince, has gone off the rails in hysteria, lies, distractions and shell games.
  Obama has a world view unlike most Americans: he attended a Black Liberation theology church for twenty years whose minister preached hate.
  BO's great friend was a terrorist who blew up people.
  BO's mentor was a card carrying perverted Communist.
  BO's school records are sealed; much of his history is unavailable to the public. The whole reason the birth certificate became such an issue for conspiracists is the secrecy of Barack Obama.
  But how much of this did or DOES the average voter know? Obama's lie about not knowing terrorist Bill Ayers is a fact, not a conspiracy. After all, Obama wrote a review of and endorsed Bill Ayers' book, even while Ayers has twice admitted he wrote Dreams From My Father.
  Years after she was a candidate for vice president, the media set out to destroy Sarah Palin; over 30 "journalists" flew to Alaska to study her emails. They found nothing, but invested numerous hours and dollars into their "investigation."
  So what are these tiny minded" investigators" investigating now?
  They're "Investigating" Paul Ryan's claim that he ran "marathons" under 3 hours. 
  He did not. 
  Paul Ryan, who famously leads the P90X workout daily, ran one twenty years ago under 4 hours.
  Shock. Horror.
  Joan Walsh at Salon claims that the "lie" was not misremembering, but part of a pattern of lies. And worse, it speaks to character, because Democrats are so concerned about character, you know:

There’s a character issue here: What kind of person casually lies about an achievement like that, with a swagger? (“I was fast when I was younger, yeah.”) For someone who purports to valorize hard work and individual achievement, such a claim is particularly corrupt. 

Ryan is like a guy who was born on second base but tells people he hit a triple, and gets away with it. Until now.

  Twenty years ago Paul Ryan also had a Black girlfriend, who wound up in prison. Shock. Horror. And how could someone who dated a Black woman and has a Black sister-in-law "affiliate himself with the obviously anti-black history, sentiments, policies and practices of the Republican Party?"
  Really?
  Did you know that Black Liberation theology calls for the destruction of White people, much like the rise of the New Black Panther party, who intimidated voters in Philadelphia in 2008 and who have called for beheading Whites in the street and murdering White babies in hospital nurseries? “What we need,” says Cone, “is the divine love as expressed in Black Power, which is the power of Black people to destroy their oppressors here and now by any means at their disposal.   Reminder: the New Black Panther party's voter intimidation case was prosecuted and won by default under Bush's DOJ; Holder's DOJ dismissed it, even though there was no doubt. The individual brandishing the nightstick was told to stay away from voting places for 30 days, even though there was no election.
  Will that individual be brandishing a weapon November 6? With impunity?
  This is being said by the New Black Panther Party with impunity from the DOJ in America:

We give them 24 hours in South Africa to get out of town by sundown. I say, if they don’t get out of town, we kill the men, we kill the women, we kill the children, we kill the babies, we kill the blind, we kill the cripple, we kill the crazy, we kill the fa**ots, we kill the lesbians, I say god dammit we kill them all.

But the most shocking comments come in a separate piece of audio posted on the site. In it, the host says blacks are “too scared” to drag whites out of their houses, skin them, hang them in trees, drag them behind trucks, and pour acid on them. He talks about that as he announces the desire for a new “military.” The host, which appears to be King Samir Shabazz of “kill cracker babies fame,” repeats the threat that made him famous: mainly that blacks will have to kill white babies “seconds” after they’re born — and he suggests firebombing nurseries to do it  

  Barack Obama's DOJ has "showed mercy" these people, not prosecuted them. 
  In fact, Barack Obama's ties with NBPP people have been long established. Breitbart:

Obama seems not to be reviled by the Panthers in any of the video or photographs. And Obama’s own campaign website would post an endorsement by the New Black Panther Party in March 2008. As Adams writes in Injustice: 
After NPR initially reported that the Panthers were present at the event with Obama, subsequent reports from Selma omitted any mention of the hate group appearing with the future President.  

Had any of Obama’s opponents appeared at an event with the KKK or Aryan Nation, The New York Times would have had to double its ink buy. 

Somehow, the fact that the future President of the United States shared a podium with leaders of the New Black Panthers, marched with them, and received a public, formal greeting from their party has vanished from the history of Obama’s campaign. Apart from [Juan] Williams’ single dispatch, no other media outlets ever reported it.

   Leftists claim this photograph and establishing any link between Barack Obama and the NBPP is racist, yet NBPP Chairman Shabazz himself has declared that the NBPP "delivered" the White House to Obama.
  A Malik Shabazz visited the White House, though White House officials claim it was a different Shabazz.
  In fact, the White House claims that it was a different Jeremiah Wright, a different Malik Shabazz, a different Bertha Lewis than ACORN head who visited the White House.
  As they say over at Breitbart, what are the odds?
  So tell me again why it's so important that Paul Ryan glorified his marathon record by an hour? 
  Tell me why. 
  I'm really concerned that I see the parity between thorough coverage of Democrats' mentors and Paul Ryan's marathon times.

McMahon is Running a Damn Smart Campaign

Linda McMahon is running a very smart campaign in her second try for the US Senate from Connecticut. After losing by 12 points in 2010 she has retooled her image and is leading her opponent by 3 points. This woman and her husband made themselves extremely wealthy by knowing what the public wants. Seeing that her tough as nails persona was a negative 2 years ago McMahon has spent the time trying to show her softer side and it's working. While not erasing her gender gap completely, McMahon is down only 6 points among women while winning the male vote 54% to 42%.

Next McMahon set about identifying her potential voting bloc. She will run at suburban women hard. Their values will be her values. Besides an emphasis on her personable side in ads, she has launched tours of women-owned businesses, held intimate roundtables with female voters and joined Pinterest, a social network favored by GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney's wife, Ann. Women who have met her often speak glowingly of her. She's sweet and smart. The urban vote is usually heavily Democratic but the suburbs are Republican and swing voter territory.
Putting her brass knuckles back on McMahon has unleashed a barrage of ads painting her opponent, Chris Murphy, not only as a career politician but as a lazy career politician. Murphy was a member of the House Banking and Financial Services Committee. During the 2008 financial meltdown Murphy missed 80% of the committee's hearings. McMahon has driven that point with unrelenting redundancy, accusing Murphy of working out in the taxpayer provided Congressional gym while Wall Street collapsed.
Putting on her CEO persona, McMahon has put together a very pro growth economic plan and launched a separate web site to promote it. Visitors can calculate their tax savings with her fancy calculator or download the entire pdf file to read her entire plan. McMahon makes Murphy look lost in his first run at statewide politics.
Blue Connecticut is not as blue as it once was. Aside from the ridiculous +21 Democrat biased PPP which I won't count the distance between Romney and Obama is only 7.5 points which makes the race tighter than both Arizona and Pennsylvania, two so called battleground states. If Romney should carry Connecticut it would be a historic swing as Obama carried it by 23% but then again, that's how history's made.

Two Drunken Democrats Offer Convention Preview

I don't recall any stories similar to this coming out of last week's GOP convention but then again these are Democrats. One California delegate has been hospitalized and another sent home following a night of heavy drinking. California Democratic Party spokesman Tenoch Flores declined to identify the two men. It seems they returned to the Blake Hotel after a night on the town when one of the men fell, apparently injuring himself badly enough that an ambulance had to be called. The second man then proceeded to pick a fight with the emergency responders and the hotel staff and the police were called. He was not arrested but for the good of the party he agreed to "forgo official delegation activities."
Hell, if I had to look forward to spending three days listening to Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, and John Kerry I'd get drunk too.

Romney Down by One Tenth Of One Percent

Not since before the bruising Republican primary has Mitt Romney led in The Real Clear Politics average of polls. Today Romney was down .1 of 1 percent. For reasons not clear Obama's job approval dropped 5 points in the Rasmussen daily tracking poll from 48 to 43 overnight. The Gallup tracking poll showed a 3 point decline in approval.
As I pointed out in a previous post Romney will now enjoy a huge funding edge. How much did Obama's temporary spending edge help? Karl Rove says, “Between May 15 and July 31st, he spent $111 million on ads out of his campaign war chest, and there was about another $17, $18 million spent by outside groups. The day that this started, the Gallup poll was 45-45. On the 31st of July, it was 46-46.”
Update: As of 9/3 the race is even. The embedded graph will continue to reflect changes in the race daily.

TSA Detained Ron Paul and Wife

If, as expected, Romney is elected and both bodies of the Congress are controlled by Republicans TSA may find it's budget cut three ways; long ,wide, and deep. One might also hear demands for a criminal investigation of the agency which has twice detained the Paul family in the space of 8 months. Senator Rand Paul's detention may be somewhat understandable in that the abuse he suffered is no worse than that routinely inflicted upon countless innocent travelers everyday.The Senator was detained after he refused to submit to a full body pat down.
The assault on Congressman Ron Paul's fourth amendment rights was outrageous, contemptible, and probably illegal. After the convention the Paul family and aides were attempting to depart for Texas aboard a private plane. First TSA agents questioned the pilot's flight credentials. Then agents insisted Paul and the members of his party be searched for explosives. Mrs. Paul who wears a pacemaker refused. Aides to Paul began recording the event and eventually TSA backed down.
It is both shameful and appalling that a retiring Congressman who has served his country and its constitution with an acute awareness of individual freedom and liberty is not be allowed to move about as a free person as is his right under the constitution. Normally passengers on private flights are not searched or harassed which raises the question, why Ron Paul?
Both Congressman Paul and Senator Paul have been harsh critics of TSA and it could be that someone in the agency could not resist the temptation to give Paul a retirement send off. Since the attempted search went beyond standard operation procedures and involved several agents the decision to harass the Congressman came from a TSA superior. Was this decision made at the local level or did the order come down from Washington? If from Washington, then by whom?  Was it a civil service employee or an Obama appointee. One suspect it was made by a political appointee as even in TSA a public servant would know harassing the parents of a sitting senator is not a career enhancing move.
It would be silly to think Obama himself would have the time to think up such an outlandish insult to a political opponent but I would not a priori rule out White House involvement. In fact the more I think about it it seems plausible if not very probable. Chicago thuggery is the signature of the Obama White House. I would expect to hear much more about this when the Republicans control the senate.

Ohio teachers heavily invested in Bain

  Interesting that the Occupy crowd, the Democrats and various interest organizations routinely excoriate Bain as if the company is some kind of vulture waiting to swoop in to shut down poor defenseless unions and companies that are just struggling to make a buck to provide an honest living for workers.
  I've never understood why teachers, nurses and all unionists ridicule Wall Street as if Wall Street makes victims of them, when in reality unions and the like have their money tied up in Wall Street firms and especially Bain.
  Are they really so stupid as to not know their retirement incomes are dependent on investments? And Wall Street?
  In fact, the primary beneficiaries of Bain's private equities efforts are, you guessed it, unions.
  Deroy Murdock at the NY Post did a little digging and found that Ohio's teachers' union STRS has invested an enormous amount of cash in Bain: $767.3 million.
  While other unions do the same, of the unions listed in the Post article, Ohio's STRS is by far the most invested in Bain.
  Why participate in such hypocrisy?

Is Bain really a gang of corporate buccaneers who plunder their ill-gotten gains by outsourcing, euthanizing feeble portfolio companies and giving cancer to the spouses of those whom they fired? If so, union bosses, government retirees, liberal foundations and elite universities thrive on the wages of Bain’s economic Darwinism. 

If, however, these institutions relish the yields that Bain Capital generates by supporting start-ups and rescuing distressed companies, 80 percent of which have prospered, then this money is honest — and Team Obama isn’t.'

  So Democrats and their constituencies benefit from Bain's efforts, ridicule the company, then also take political contributions from them.

  Apparently it doesn't matter if you're money grubbing, greedy hypocrites...unless you get caught.

  of course, Obama's complaint was that making a company profitable isn't the job of the president, a fact which most of us would agree. 

  But Obama complains his job is to make everything fair for everyone.

  Which explains why he doesn't care much for our Founding documents.

  Which never mention making everything fair for everyone.

  One thing that would be fair is if Liberals would quit lying about business in America.

Secretary of Labor Tells SEIU “You are now…part of the solution.”

Secretary of Labor Comrade Hilda Solis has a warm, Labor Day message for the SEIU whom she regards as a solution to the nation's problems.
For 90 years, SEIU has organized workers to give them a stronger voice in the workplace, and now is not the time to let up. Some say that we cant afford unions right now, that labor unions are the problem in this country. But I think they've got it just plain wrong. Unions like SEIU helped build Americas middle class. You are now — and always will be — part of the solution.
So much for competent and impartial government by the people. While competence is well above Solis's pay grade she could at least pretend to live up to her oath of office by impartially administrating the law rather that shilling for special interests.

Game On, Let The Spending Begin

Let the spending begin. Now that Mitt Romney is the official nominee he can finally begin to spend from the war chest he has amassed. As reported earlier, Romney enjoyed a $62 million cash on hand advantage at the end of July. That gap will probably widen when the campaigns report their August numbers. In the two previous months Romney has raised more and spent less and as he enters September, the traditionally largest fund raising month, his cash advantage will begin to be felt.
In elections past big labor was able to offset any outside spending by GOP PAC's but that is history. A rundown of some of the larger GOP PAC's spending plans makes a billion dollars in outside spending extremely believable.
Karl Rove and Ed Gillespie's Crossroads GPS will spend a total of $300 million. It budgets $200 million for the presidential race, $70 million on the senate campaign, and $32 million for house races. It has already raised about two thirds of its budget.
The Koch Brother's Americans for Prosperity will spend $400 million. They don't break down their spending plan but spending is done on a county by county basis in key battleground states.
Restore Our Future, the super PAC supporting Mitt Romney, proved its potency by spending nearly $50 million in the primaries. Now able to entice big donors with a neck-and-neck general election, the group is likely to meet its new goal of spending $100 million more. Sheldon Adelson who has promised to donate "as much as it takes" donates to this group.
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce will make it best effort to repeal Obamacare by spending $100 million in the presidential and senate campaigns.
The YG Action Fund, the super PAC started by aides of the two self-styled “Young Guns” – House Republican Leader Eric Cantor and House Republican Whip Kevin McCarthy has a goal of raising about $30 million.
The Tea Party affiliated Freedom Works hopes to raise $30 million also.
The Club for Growth is tight lipped about its spending plans but based on 2010 spending levels of $8.2 million its probably good for $10 million.
The lone Obama super PAC of any size, Priorities USA will probably spend $100 million.
With Romney's pronounced advantage expect his campaign to force Obama to spend scarce cash defending what were thought to be safe states such as Connecticut, Minnesota, and New Jersey. If Romney can get traction in those three states the campaign may expand further with the purpose of forcing Obama to spend himself into oblivion.

Obama Leads From Behind. Will Follow Romney to Louisiana

Leading from behind Obama will follow Romney to flooded Louisiana. Romney interrupted his campaign to fly to hurricane ravaged LaFittee where he told Governor Bobby Jindal ,"I'm here to learn and obviously to draw some attention to what's going on here, So that people around the country know that people down here need help."
Although Louisiana is safely in Romney's column the Republican candidate succeeded in drawing Obama's attention to what was going on there. Obama abruptly cancelled a rally in Cleveland planned for Monday to tour the flooding in Louisiana. A tersely worded press release from the White House read; "In light of the President’s travel to Louisiana to meet with local officials and view ongoing response and recovery efforts to Hurricane Isaac, President Obama will no longer travel to Cleveland, Ohio on Monday, September. "

At Fort Bliss Texas at what was an official speech turned campaign rally the troops sat on their hand through several applause lines. The audience remained quiet even when the exalted commander-in-chief thanked the soldiers’ families, and cited the 198 deaths of their comrades in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The audience’s reaction was so flat that the president tried twice to elicit a reaction from the crowd.
“Hey, I hear you,” he said amid silence.
Presidential lap dog, MSNBC and CNN both dropped coverage of the speech about half the way through. The White House video feed abruptly ended 10 seconds after the end of the speech so in the event anyone was still watching it would be impossible to judge the troops' reaction.
