Whites just wanna have fun. Like everybody else. Is that OKAY?
But I have news for you.
Did you know you're privileged?
If you're white, that is. Only if you're white.
James Taranto has great fun with the video currently making the rounds that scolds white America for being, well, white. The anti-white crusade is named "Un-Fair Campaign."
What's so remarkably nauseating about the video is that its creators appear to believe they'll make some kind of impact of race relations, something even, gee, Al Sharpton hasn't been able to do.
Taranto believes the racists running these kinds of PSAs are running out of steam and he may be right.
One look at the comments under this video over at YouTube reveals that people are wise to what's going on, they're fed up with the race baiting and they're pretty aware of the forces at work trying to manipulate the public. Looks like Beck, Hannity and Limbaugh are permeating the culture.

Fast and Furious Update
Romney Expected To Spend $1.2 Billion
It could be that this off-the-record crying jag to the Post is intended to prompt Obama supporters to dig deeper and I'm reluctant to believe anything this campaign says on or off the record. Most likely Obama will have enough money to get his message out but down ballot candidates for the House and Senate might feel the pinch. Late in the campaign throwing a wad of cash in a hotly contested race can yield a nice return. Almost for certain Obama will score another first. He will be the first incumbent president to be outspent by his rival.

More Democrats Will Skip the Convention
Moving up the Appalachian range into New York two Democrats who won special Congressional elections, Bill Owens and Kathy Hochul have also elected to put their personal careers ahead of the President's need for an fawning audience. "He just has a packed schedule back home," said an Owen spokesman.
"I guarantee that my time will be better spent meeting the farmers, small business owners and other people who put me here," sniffed Hochul. Right, dear, everyone's time would be better spent out of earshot of Obama but would you say that if he were white?
Come on Democrats, if a Republican Congressman skipped the State of the Union Speech it would be because Obama is the first black president besides that farmers and hardware store owners are boring and the whole country knows it. God, what goes through that woman's mind? I mean if the kids at Cuyahoga Community College can put up with Obama every year it's only fair professional Democrats should have to listen to him once every four years. We don't hear that the students have to go talk to farmers every time Obama shows up.
On the hand, Obama was MIA in Wisconsin.
Vagina monologues in Michigan
To hear the Dems tell it, Dem women were
Basically here's what happened. Anybody can open an abortion clinic in Michigan.
Anybody.
Body parts and dead babies have been found in trash bins; the only thing the law stated was that the body had to be treated with something like formaldehyde to prevent it from smelling.
Or something.
So babies were found in trash bins. Here's a bit of info on the discovery:
The story of finding aborted babies and private medical records in the dumpsters ofMichigan abortion mills would seem to be growing old.
But this time legislative action will come of it.
On February 27 pro-lifer Chris Veneklase found the aborted remains of 17 babies in medical ziplock bags, with the names of their mothers labeled on the outside, in a dumpster at the Womans Choice abortion mill in Lansing. (See photo above, names redacted.)So they're trying to pass this bill in Michigan to prevent this kind of behavior and increase the restrictions (which liberals usually want) of who can actually run one.
So these 2 liberal Democrat women get up in front of the House, distribute illicit literature and scream something about men getting out of their vaginas.
So Daily Kos sends out screamers claiming women are being discriminated against, men are trying to prevent them from being healthy, blah, blah, blah.
The WaPo goes into a diatribe about why the word "vagina" offended people and the subsequent event where the offended (aren't they always?) liberal women House members read the Vagina Monologues.
Quickly abortionists from around the country descend on the Michigan House to protest the 1 day suspension of speech awarded to the 2 liberal women.
Problem is that even a Democrat House member was offended by their breaking of House rules and behavior.
Problem is that these women behaved unprofessionally.
Problem is that there really is a problem with the abortion industry in Michigan.
Problem is that pounds and pounds of personal health records of women are being discovered in dumpsters outside abortion clinics.
Essentially the House bill is about reforming the abortion industry in Michigan for pubic health purposes and for women's health. I mean, if these clinics will dump babies bodies into dumpsters, how careful are they going to be with the women they work on?
In the WJR discussion yesterday with Frank Beckmann, I believe it was mentioned that you don't even have to be a doctor to run an abortion clinic in Michigan.
This argument is not about women's health.
It's about lawlessness. The society has to have boundaries, one of which is that we try to maintain proper decorum, even with the dead.
It's about decency.
And it's about women's health and the belief that some standards have to be maintained, even in abortion environments.
Trending: Barack Obama morphing into Nixon
If you wanted the main stream media to continue ignoring Fast and Furious, you should probably have surrendered the documents requested concerning the murder of 300 Mexicans and at least 1 US border agent with weapons intentionally released into the wild to criminals via the ATF division.
But now that you've exerted "executive privilege" to prevent Congress from having eyes on "your" business, it will be harder to act like this isn't the scandal that it is. It will be harder to avert their eyes from the covert and illegal activities of your favorite POTUS.
Congrats, BO, the first POTUS to admit he maintains a "kill list."
Your most scandalous scandal will most likely finally make the front pages of America's Pravda-esque sheets of newsprint.
But there's one big difference.
At least nobody was murdered under Nixon's watch.
Fast & Furious; Executive Cover Up?
I, and other writers on this blog have compared Fast and Furious to Watergate and this morning Obama, by claiming executive privilege for the subpoenaed Justice Department documents, drove that point home. The Supreme Court has drawn very clear and very narrow boundaries on executive privilege. Basically executive privilege is limited to matters of vital national interest and personal conversations of the president and top White House aides. Remember Karl Rove did not seek executive privilege in the Valerie Plame investigation.
Holder has put himself in a box by claiming that the White House had no involvement in F&F and now Obama, by his claim of executive privilege has closed the box. If the White House did know of F&F Holder had better be looking up Roger Clement's lawyers because he's in the same predicament except his remarks are on C-Span's video tape. If Obama didn't know his claim of executive privilege is spurious. As Brit Hume remarked almost a year ago: "This has the smell of cover up all over it". Deja vu!
Executive Privilege -- Fast and Furious (Update)
Changing the Debate to Immigration Doesn't Help Obama
Speaking of razzle dazzle how's Dream Act Lite working out for Obama? Almost a week later in the Gallup daily tracking poll both candidate's numbers are the same 46 Romney, Obama 45. In the Rasmussen poll Obama actually slipped one point and Romney gained a point. Romney now leads 48 to Obama's 44. If we concede last week's assault on the constitution helps Obama among Hispanics we are entitled to ask which Hispanics.
Immigration isn't even an issue among Cuban Americans in Florida who vote overwhelmingly Republican. The huge, largely Democratic New York Puerto Rican voting block is one, going to vote for him anyway, two, are not in a competitive state, three, Puerto Ricans are already American citizens who have no sectional stake in immigration policy. Romney is not going to carry California any so any incremental advantage Obama gained doesn't add to his bottom line. There maybe some incremental advantage to Obama in Colorado and New Mexico but that remains to be seen. In the meantime undecided white voters in the battleground states have one more reason not to vote Democratic.

O's press conferences are a joke
So here's Obama saying that politics stops at the water's edge and that should stop politicians from criticizing each other overseas.
Then he proceeds to condescendingly smirk and discuss Romney's ignorance on some world matter, like HE hasn't made a mess of things all over the world, apparently forgetting that HE is standing in Mexico criticizing his "opponent" at the time.
It's inconceivable that we're watching that Howdy Doody discuss the debts of Europe and how he's created millions of new jobs in this country, how we've had 24 weeks of growth ALL OF WHICH HAVE BEEN REVISED every week?
And did it occur to
Too bad. Nobody's quite as "good" as that as John Kerry, who, btw, fought in Vietnam.
Bill O'Reilly's right about one thing.
That was a really, really boring press conference.
Mr. President: Your ego is showing
This one, the Maraniss biography, dispels 9 fictions that Obama has created about himself to enhance his story among the unimaginative.
What's amusing about #9 is that a friend of mine (an in the know friend) told me almost a year ago that Obama was terrible at basketball. This is not something you can fudge.
When you look at the pictures of Obama on a bike or throwing a baseball, it's pretty clear there's some kind of, um, problem there.
Anyway here's the list without the details, which are found over at Buzzfeed entitled 9 Tall Tales From Obama's Memoir:
- Obama's grandfather wasn't tortured and imprisoned by the British.
- Obama's stepfather wasn't killed by the Dutch in a bid for freedom.
- A woman Obama writes about as a symbol for Black pride and independence was, well, white.
- A racial incident was incorrectly attributed in the book.
- Obama claimed he broke up with a girlfriend because she was white. However the next girlfriend was also white.
- Obama's Choom gang were not 'disaffected' but popular students.
- Obama deleted 2 white roommates from his life's story.
- Obama's mother left his father; the opposite of what he wrote.
- Obama claimed he wasn't allowed to play because he played Black basketball but his b-ball coach coached White basketball. In truth, he sucked at basketball.
Sound familiar?
An easy parallel to Obama's ego problem is the Daily Mail article that shows numerous pictures of Obama being "cool" again, the lament that he has uttered to his staff recently that he's missing in recent years.
Here's Obama dancing with Mooch.
Here's Obama praying, hands held in a prayer circle.
Here's Obama, concentrating on shooting pool.
Here's Obama
Here's Obama talking with world leaders, standing in a power position over them while they sit.
Guess all those adoring halo pictures aren't enough.
These are recent releases, obviously timed to make Howdy Doody look more presidential.
Good luck with that.
Deb Fischer Opens Huge Lead Over Bob Kerry
Deb Fischer, the come from nowhere winner of the Nebraska Republican Senate primary has, according to her web site opened a huge lead over former Senator Bob Kerry. A Rasmussen poll finds her leading the former Senator by 18 points, 56 to 38 percent. I guess this horrible ad is good enough to win with.
Andrea Mitchell Has No Apology for Romny Edit
Yeah, it was just time pressure that forced MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell to air a selectively edited video of a Mitt Romney. Mitchell refused to acknowledge the the editing or offer an apology.

Creating Slums Through Foreclosure Transformation or Every City Can Become a Newark
It's getting harder and harder to overstate the corruption in blue state Democratic parties. New Jersey provides a sterling example. An odious bill called The New Jersey Residential Foreclosure Transformation Act, introduced in the New Jersey Senate by two Democrats would set up a state agency to buy up housing that has been in foreclosure for 45 days or more. The vacant house would then be designated "affordable housing" for thirty years thereby reducing the local municipality's tax revenue, wrecking the neighborhood, and making Governor Chris Christie the world's largest slumlord in one felt swoop . No doubt banks like the idea. One suspects that Chris Christie is destined to become Attorney General in a Romney administration and this bill won't do much to enhance his resume. The New Jersey Star Ledger, obviously a big fan of political corruption and run down neighborhoods calls it "a promising and creative approach". Who writes their editorials? Snooki?
Operation Fast and Furious (Update)
(Update 18:08 Tues.) After a short meeting tonight lasting about 20 minutes, Congressman Issa and Eric Holder, Attorney General have reached an impasse. Unless something changes between now and tomorrow, Congress will vote to hold Holder in contempt of Congress.
Press doing its best to beat Pravda
Here's a video of Andrea Mitchell and that Chris Cillizza person Rush was ranting about yesterday.
It's really too much that these two giggle like Heckle and Jeckle hoping that Romney's having his Bush scanner moment; instead they've been caught taking Romney's words out of order and context, something that Colbert is so good at. Who knew that MSNBC is an extension of the Colbert Report?
Comedy gold.
But when even Politico calls you out for lying and misrepresenting, you know you're in trouble. There's even a nod to a conservative blogger in the Politico article:
The MSNBC clip feeds into the narrative, beloved by some on the left, that Romney is a 1950's throwback. After the clip cut, Mitchell and MSNBC contributor Chris Cillizza broke out into laughter -- which is understandable, given that they both had been led to believe that Romney was wowed by a simple machine. In fact, what Romney found so "amazing" was the discord between private sector innovation and public sector bureaucracy. Here's some of what Rush said yesterday about Cilizza and his enamored writing about POTUS:
Well, Chris Cillizza, Democrat frontman, yesterday in the Washington Post: "Can Any President Succeed in Today’s Political World?" It's so mean out there and it's so partisan out there that, you know, I don't think any president could actually govern anymore because it's so, so mean.
Here's how he starts his story. "Lost in the chatter about whether President Obama will win a second term in November..." See, they admit that's the chatter, whether Obama will win a second term. "Lost in the chatter about whether President Obama will win a second term in November is an even bigger -- and perhaps even more important -- question..." Can you believe the Drive-Bys say there's something more important than whether or not Obama will win a second term? What, pray tell, might that be? Well, let's read further.
"Perhaps an even more important question is: Is it possible for a president -- any president -- to succeed in the modern world of politics?" Are these guys throwing it? It's impossible. It's impossible for poor President Kardashian to govern. It's so mean out there. "Consider this: We are in the midst of more than a decade-long streak of pessimism about the state of the country..." No, we're not. The streak's three-and-a-half years. Maybe four at the outside. There wasn't any kind of pessimism about the country in 2005 and 2006. The pessimism began in 2007 when Pelosi and the gang took over the House and started implementing their policies. The pessimism began when Obama was elected, then did the stimulus, then did health care, started doing damage to the economy, that's when the pessimism began. There wasn't any pessimism before. Nothing out of the ordinary. The belief that the job of POTUS is too big for any one man was something that liberals lamented when Jimmy Carter was POTUS; hm. Strange resemblance there.
James Taranto at BOTW delivers a hilarious column on why journalists suddenly find that the job is too big when their guy just can't handle the responsibilities of an admittedly significant job:
Listen closely and you can hear the sounds of slogging echo across the decades. They emanate not just from the failed president but from sympathetic journalists trying to absolve him of the responsibility for his failure.
We learned in the 1980s that the presidency was still big. It was Jimmy Carter who turned out to be small. It's really tres amusant that liberals cannot accept the fact that their guys are, well, wieners: incompetent boobs so swollen with their own importance and confidence that they can't quite do the job.
