Hands Across the Sand a left wing construct

  Perhaps you saw images today of a touching experience of all these people standing on the beach holding hands and wishing for a cleaner beach. They want off shore drilling banned.

Of course, none of these people drive a car, watch TV, use a computer, have electricity in their homes, wear clothes made in a factory and purchased in a store, eat food from a supermarket, etc. Moonbats united in hypocrisy…

  While all of us mourn this terrible occurrence and many of the people who showed up at the beaches probably didn't realize it, the oil spill is shamelessly being exploited for political ends, although many claim otherwise. The real purpose of it is to exert control over US policy and economy. There is no replacement at this time for fossil fuels yet these people want to ban the use of oil.
  Did you know that Hands Across the Sand was put together by a coalition of commie left wing groups like Code Pink, 350, Greenpeace, World can't wait , Moveon.org, and Friends of the Earth? Take a look at this notice posted on the FOE website:

This money has corrupted the political process and perpetuated our dependence on oil, making spills more likely. They should get rid of this money by donating it to theGulf Coast Fund.  

See anybody missing? Yeah. Maybe Barack Obama is missing off that list. 

During his time in the Senate and while running for president, Obama received a total of $77,051 from the oil giant and is the top recipient of BP PAC and individual money over the past 20 years, according to financial disclosure records.

BP and its employees have given more than $3.5 million to federal candidates over the past 20 years, with the largest chunk of their money going to Obama, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. Donations come from a mix of employees and the company’s political action committees — $2.89 million flowed to campaigns from BP-related PACs and about $638,000 came from individuals...

  All these left wing commie groups? Guess who was on the beach with them, holding hands and singing?
 That would be former "I'm a true conservative" Charlie Crist, aiding these left wing groups.

  Imagine doing this job. Roaming alone up and down miles and miles of barren borderland looking for groups of criminals bearing weapons of all kinds. It is also notable that a good percentage of border patrol officers are Mexican. 

  Yet these activists hate them for protecting our borders.

I had never heard of Herrada but she is not exactly a nobody. Although she seems to be more of a local activist in Detroit, she has been quoted frequently in national publications on immigrant rights issues, and The NY Times Opinionator blog featured a story from her last June.

And this is not some fringe liberal gathering. The US Social Forum is a MAJOR gathering of radical liberal activists (i.e. socialists), community organizers, and union leaders. Their slogan is “another world is possible, another U.S. is necessary”. Bill Ayers, Bernardine Dohrn, and Danny Glover were among those I spotted in other video clips…and I believe Bertha Lewis and Van Jones will be in attendance as well. This could very well be the most important leftist conference this year.

Obama's minister Rev. Wright disses teachers' unions

  Well, okay, the headline is a bit misleading but we bloggers are trying to become more like the MSM every day! 
  The truth is that the teachers' unions govern policies in major cities and elsewhere. They use their political influence and financial clout from union dues to put a chokehold on what educators,policy makers and politicians can and cannot do in the classroom. 
  Millions of dollars are wasted on maintaining inadequate teachers, some of whom just sit in rubber rooms drawing salaries. In other places like Washington, D.C., over $28,000 a year is spent per student. In DC school districts, achievement scores have risen, primarily due to Michelle Rhee's influence as someone who is willing to combat the unions for control of children's learning. (In Perrysburg, it is about $9800 per student.) What 
  A good example of this is the forthcoming art film "The Lottery," which, at this time, is not scheduled to be shown anywhere in Northwest Ohio. In a hate-filled "lecture," for which some participants actually paid for college credit, one of Wright's targets is the schools. Here is what he actually said:

He said the educational system in America is designed by whites to miseducate blacks "not by benign neglect but by malignant intent.

The Lottery is about the charter school alternative and the tragedy of children who do not make it into the charter school through a lottery:

"Not once in my conversations with him have I heard him talk about any ethnic group in derogatory terms, or treat whites with whom he interacted with anything but courtesy and respect," Obama said.

Yet during this course -- which was described as asking, "What is the response and public witness of persons of faith to ongoing developments in both countries?" -- Wright made many statements about what he believes are the true aims of whites and Jews.

"You are not now, nor have you ever been, nor will you ever be a brother to white folk," he said. "And if you do not realize that, you are in serious trouble."

He cited the writings of Bill Jones -- author of the book "Is God a White Racist?" -- as proof that white people cannot be trusted. "Bill said, 'They just killed four of their own at Kent State. They'll step on you like a cockroach and keep on movin', cause you not a brother to them.' "

Right/left blogger facedown on Obama's handling of Gulf cleanup

  There are two issues with the Gulf oil spill. 
  One is the problem of the spill itself, which Obama claimed he can't suck up with a straw or jump down into the Gulf to plug up the hole. 
 The other problem is the cleanup, which IS the government's responsibility, particularly with regard to waiving governmental restrictions such as the Jones Act that make it more difficult for the workers to even do their jobs. 
  One would also think the government would marshal all forces available to help preserve our natural resources. 
  But no. 
  The Hill has a facedown between right and left. The following is Ed Morrisey's right response. The left wing response is only worth reading to hear the same excuses and lame pardons that the left always gives to Democrats, with little concern for the environment, as usual. It's not about the environment; it's about CYA. Well, Democrat CYA. Let's call it DCYA from now on.

The pushback on these criticisms has been, “Well, what do you expect President Obama to do – plug the hole with his own bare hands?” Of course not. But we do expect Obama to take part in the crisis and do his job well, or at all. One incident this past week is instructive. Obama called a panel of experts to look at the safety of offshore drilling and to make recommendations for improvements. The White House then declared a blanket moratorium imposed by Obama on offshore drilling, saying it was based on the recommendations of his panel. Unfortunately, the panel erupted in outrage, claiming that they had never seen the moratorium Obama imposed and almost unanimously opposed it, leading a judge to overturn it this week as having no rational basis. 

More false claims by this administration

The latest meme to come out of the White House is that "they" will be unable to replace all the jobs lost because of Bush's mishandling of the economy. One wonders if, God forbid, 6 years hence in a second term The One will still be blaming President Bush for Obama's own failed policies. The facts simply aren't with the claims of this administration. Gateway Pundit has the real facts:

For the record… Not only were more jobs lost after the 9-11 attacks in 2001 than in the 2008 market crash, but more jobs were created by President Bush’s pro-business policies and tax cuts than by the Obama-Pelosi “spend your way to hell”Keynesian failure.

Smashing windows: all in a day's work

  As usual, most of the group violence perpetrated on society is committed by the left, often environmentalists, anarchists and those who oppose capitalism in the name of "fairness."

  These groups of people are very organized. For example, rabble rouser.org in Canada has message boards discussing today's developments, complete with paranoia about the police torching their own cars, "inciting" the rioters themselves and showing complete disrespect for the property of others:

I marched today and much enjoyed the festivities which are ongoing - lots of people still up at Queen's Park where anything could happen. I think, at the very least, they'll think twice about holding such things in TO again hopefully. Quite enjoyed the exhilaration of seeing  burning squad cars and smashed bank windows. Would have been nice to hang a politician or two but you can't have everything.

  Luckily we now have "Environmental Justice" activists to make everything even out. Remember it's all about the money. Making things "equal" requires taking from those who have and giving to those who do not, even though countries like the USA are generous and have contributed greatly to places in Africa and do so on a voluntary basis. Still they want more. Climate change and the whole cap and trade scam is now being touted as "climate debt". In other words, any way that they can justify taking from successful countries in the West to redistribute to undeveloped or underdeveloped countries. China and India aren't expected to cap any of their emissions. It's always the big bad (successful for a while, anyway) USA as the target. Just a few minutes of watching this woman will enlighten you as to the purpose. She's speaking at the global shoutout for global justice in Toronto:
 
  The West is being overwhelmed with political correctness and an inability to do anything to protect itself from these political activists, who are on the march all around the world and in every language. Instead we cater to the special interests of environmentalists and anarchists:

The term "black bloc" doesn't refer to a specific group, and in fact, rioters using this tactic are notoriously hard to track.

The all-black uniforms are partly meant to protect wearers from being identified or prosecuted by police.

  Another discussion reveals a suffocatingly narrow wish for the destruction of farms because farms aren't a balanced ecosystem. Farming produces surplus, and we're all about balance, not surplus.

Modern capitalism is nothing more than the latest phase of civilization's quest to reap surplus from its labouring slaves and the Earth. Surplus is a man-made abstract concept, it doesn't exist in Nature. Nature always balances out excess, there is nothing it cannot recycle. It provides what is needed to sustain us, but nothing more and nothing less. Agriculture from its genesis has sought to reap more and more from Nature, not for the benefit of ordinary people, but the rulers who appropriate the excess to reinforce and expand their power.

The rent a mob is even protesting the World Cup. Why?

The FIFA 2010 Soccer World Cup must be exposed for the utter sham that it is. The ZACF strongly condemns the audacity and hypocrisy of the government in presenting the occasion as a “once-in-a-lifetime” opportunity for the economic and social upliftment of those living in South Africa (and the rest of the continent).

What is glaringly clear is that the “opportunity” is and continues to be that of a feeding-frenzy for global and domestic capital and the South African ruling elite. In fact, if anything, the event is more likely to have devastating consequences for South Africa’s poor and working class – a process that is already underway.

Both CTV, Robertson’s network, and Canada’s national CBC network carried wall-to-wall live coverage of the protests, which started out peaceably. Then a black-clad group of anarachists called the Black Bloc, broke away from the 10,000-plus peaceful protesters in downtown Toronto and started breaking windows of stores, and also set a Toronto police car on fire.  It’s that flaming police car that will be on many newscasts’ G20 reports.

Just remember. The violence as a group is always on the left (list from NewsBusters):

• It was a liberal who was sentenced to two years for bringing bombs and riot shields to the Republican National Convention in 2008.
• It was a liberal who threatened to kill a government informant who infiltrated her Austin-based group that planned to bomb the RNC.
• It was liberals who assaulted police in Berkeley.
• It was liberals who intimidated and threw rocks through the windows of researchers.
• The two Black Panthers who stood outside polls intimidating people with nightsticks were probably not right-wingers.
• Every time the G20 gets together, it's not conservatives who destroy property and cause chaos. 

The left, so sanctimonious and condescending to people who actually work for a living every day, are the violent ones. They're the ones who trash the cities in the name of "fairness" and "justice." They don't produce any such things; apparently the thrill if violence is their work effort. It's all they really need to feel successful.

Absolute abdication of responsibility on the oil spill

The following article sums up the behavior of US government officials regarding the Gulf cleanup. Rather than accept help, as has been much documented here and elsewhere, the government rejected expertise from nations who were eager to help protect our marshlands. For example, rather than use the Dutch ships to "clean" the water by sucking it in, siphoning out the oil and then spitting it out rather clean, the government rejected the proposal because the cleaned water was not clean enough according to environmentalists' standards. This is a ridiculous situation for which the administration takes absolutely no responsibility. Rather than waive the Jones Act and accept help, the US government demanded that the workers be American union jobs, whether they have the expertise or not. Tenets of Shariah

In a previous post, it was noted that Obama has employed a shariah finance officer for the White House. World Net Daily has further information about shariah finance directives. While World Net Daily hawks the "birther" conspiracy frequently, the information contained in this article is valuable. (That is not to say that there isn't something to the "birther" conspiracy....what good comes of harangue on the subject? In addition, it feeds the liberal meme of the right wing lunatic fringe.) Evident in the following list is the schism between Western thought, particularly regarding women, and Islamic beliefs.

In his essay, "Islamic Finance or Financing Islamism," Alex Alexiev outlined the following tenets of Shariah taken from "The Reliance of the Traveler: The Classic Manual of Sacred Law":

• A woman is eligible for only half of the inheritance of a man 

  A virgin may be married against her will by her father or grandfather

• A woman may not leave the house without her husband's permission

• A Muslim man may marry four women, including Christians and Jews; a Muslim woman can only marry a Muslim

• Beating an insubordinate wife is permissible

• Female sexual mutilation is obligatory

• Adultery [or the perception of adultery] is punished by death by stoning

• Offensive, military jihad against non-Muslims is a religious obligation

• Apostasy from Islam is punishable by death without trial

• Lying to infidels in time of jihad is permissible
